After being considered the Rolls Royce of Jazz Events by Quincy Jones it cannot be a shock that the 2017 lineup of Montreux Jazz Festival is a composition of revolutionary artists in the making, in history and beyond jazz music.
The festival had its beginnings in 1967 and is now known as one of the most influential festivals in music globally. Taking place in the small town of Montreux in Switzerland, over the course of two weeks fans and artists meet up to connect soulfully and musically.
Its history has had pioneer individuals have groundbreaking performances from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Prince, Etta James and many more.
This years lineup sees the likes of Solange, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Grace Jones, Erykah Badu with a little bit of trap elements from the God himself Gucci Mane and a lot more!
