Masterclasses at AFI: A Promise of Tomorrow in Fashion

MASTERCLASSES are scheduled for 22 March, at The Ritz Hotel in Sea Point with the commitment to nurture emerging African talent that is evident in AFI FAST TRACK which serves as an incubator to equip designers in succeeding the business of fashion.

The first panel features retail consultant Alex Harris who will talk about Building a Commercial Range and fashion designer David Tlale who will speak on Building the Niche Brand in the Business of Fashion which prepares upcoming fashion designers for the big market.

Sarah Diouf Senegalese fashion designer, and IP Lawyer from Adams & Adams, Jean Bruneau will share their insightful knowledge on Cultural Appropriation, and IP Protection.

Not to be missed is 1 of the top 5 Futurists in Africa, Merle O’Brien who will look at The Unthinkable Future: Fashion, Textile, and Wearable Technologies.
In between these sessions MAC Global Senior Artist South Africa, Raine Tauber and MAC Global Senior Artist Sub Sahara Africa, Marco Louis, will focus on International Makeup Trends.
Wella Professionals Global Top Artist, Audrey Loots will be covering all there is to know about Hair Styling: From Red Carpet to Runway.
