On the 11th of May 2023, the Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards hosted the Nominee Announcement Press Conference at the Standard Bank Head Office in Rosebank. The nominee announcement was held to announce nominees selected across the 16 categories. The categories include:
Accessories; Homeware; Beverages; Media; Agriculture; NPO’s and Charities; Beauty; Education; Apparel; Personalities and Influencers; Food; Travel and Tourism; Footwear; Technology; Services and Health and Wellness. Following the nomination announcement, the Top16YOBA committee completed the second phase of due diligence and some brands announced were found to not meet additional qualification. We are delighted to inform you that BAAB Media is the runner up in the Media category.
Voting is now open and will close on the 31st of May 2023 at 5pm! Rally up your people to vote for your brand and you can stand a chance of being a winner of the Top16 youth-owned brand in the Media category. Please note that the voting system is 1-man-1 vote i.e., one person cannot vote more than once for one brand in each category.
The Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards are an entity that aims to recognise and celebrate youth excellence, the 2023 Top 16 YOBAs acknowledge the youth of South Africa who are not only contributing to the economy, but the overall image of the country. For the award ceremony, you will receive a ticket for yourself and a plus 1.
The Award’s ceremony will be preceded by a two-day festival, 14 and 15 June 2023.
