Season 5 of My Life: Zintle is a vlog series that follows the life and work of Zintle Ramano, Founder and Managing Director of BAAB Media Group.


A Remarkable Journey

Zintle Ramano went to Roedean School For Girls, which laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Matriculating in 2012.



After high school, Zintle took a bold step by moving to Luzern, Switzerland, where she lived, worked, and pursued her studies. She holds two diplomas in Hospitality Management from the Business Hotel and Management School (BHMS) Luzern and a BA in Global Business Management from Robert Gordon University. This international experience broadened her horizons and exposed her to diverse perspectives.


Following her graduation from Robert Gordon University, Zintle diligently pursued opportunities within the hospitality industry, engaging in numerous job applications and interviews. However, amidst the prevailing economic challenges in South Africa, characterized by a high rate of unemployment among recent graduates spanning various fields from medicine to engineering, securing employment proved elusive for Zintle. Faced with this stark reality, she embarked on a path of entrepreneurship, founding BAAB Media Group in 2018. In response to the limitations of traditional employment avenues, Zintle embraced the opportunity to forge her own path and establish a thriving enterprise where she could realize her professional aspirations through self-employment.


Recognitions and Achievements



In 2024, she graduated from the McKinsey Forward Program 

In 2023, Zintle's entrepreneurial spirit earned her recognition as a finalist in the Mail & Guardian's 200 Young South Africans under the category of entrepreneurship. This acknowledgment underscored her commitment to making a difference in her community and beyond.


In 2021, she graduated from the AWE 2021 cohort, an entrepreneurship program sponsored by the US Embassy in collaboration with the Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF). Out of thousands of applicants across South Africa, she was one of the select few chosen, further solidifying her dedication to entrepreneurship.
