In an impoverished country such as the Dominican Republic where survival is priority on Maslow's hierarchy of needs young girls have no choice but to sell their bodies to provide for themselves and their families. In the DR buying and selling sex is perfectly legal however, the amount of young women participating who can't afford to go to school or embracing their childhood are forced to participate in such acts making little to none as $13/night which is twice as much the minimum wage.
